Walk/Bike to School days are Wednesdays during June

The Cape Elizabeth School Board's Wellness Committee is sponsoring "Walk/Bike to School" days every Wednesday in June until the end of the school year. Students are encouraged to either walk or ride their bikes to school.

Motorists are asked to be particularly cautious driving Wednesdays, June 11 and 18. (June 4 date canceled due to weather predictions)

Volunteers are also needed to assist at busy intersections, from 7:20-8:30 a.m.; and/or 2:20-3:30 p.m.. Interested volunteers should contact Community Services, 799-2868, to specifiy which dates they can help.

Areas needing coverage are at intersections of Route 77: Spurwink Avenue; Mitchell Road; Scott Dyer Road; High School entrance; Fowler/Old Ocean House roads.
