Summer’s almost here - and it begins with Family Fun Day

Preparations are in full swing for Cape Elizabeth's annual Family Fun Day, scheduled for Saturday, June 14 (rain date June 21) at Fort Williams Park.

The Family Fun Day volunteers are looking forward to beautiful weather, great crowds and lots of fun activities. There will be entertainment throughout the day with games and activities for all ages, and numerous of booths serving a variety of delicious foods and beverages.

Family Fun Day is a non-profit event that supports the numerous groups and organizations in and around town — groups like the sports and music boosters, and the community-service groups that rely entirely upon contributions and fund-raisers such as this. Supporting Family Fun Day supports them. Local groups interested in participating in Family Fun Day should contact Gene Weismann at 767-7111.

Booth space is also available for artists and craftspersons looking to get a jump on this year’s summer art shows, and have a fun day besides. Space is free, but artists are responsible for their own displays. More information is available from Rose Kennealy, 799-1674.
