The Cape Elizabeth Police Department will participate in a community sponsored substance abuse awareness gathering, 6-8 p.m. Monday, June 7, at the Cape Elizabeth United Methodist Church, 280 Ocean House Road.

Police Detective Paul Fenton will be one of the presenters.

All adults are welcome, particularly parents of middle school or high school age children. Scheduled speakers also include parents, a substance abuse counselor, former Cape students who are recovered addicts, health providers and legal consultants.
