Route 77 pavement project progressing
A pavement rehabilitation project on Route 77 is progressing and should be completed in time for new pavement markings next week.
Public Works Director Robert Malley reported that the northerly side of the project area, between Wentworth Road and the Inn by the Sea,
was completed July 13, 2010. Rain has hampered work July 14, but he expects the southerly side to be completed on July 15, with both sides ready for markings the week of July 19.
Motorists should expect slight delays as the work continues, he said. He suggested Fowler Road as an alternate route for motorists heading south towards Scarborough. Previous story:
