Cape Elizabeth High School Theater will join Catherine McAuley High School of Portland in what theater director Dick Mullen called "an extraordinary evening of theatre" on Thursday, March 18, at 7:30 p.m. in Cape’s Auditorium.

McAuley will present "Who Will Carry the Word?" by Auschwitz survivor Charlotte Delbo, a realistic yet powerful tribute to the women determined to survive the horror of the Holocaust.

Cape will present "The Birds" by Aristophanes, the master of comedy from Ancient Greece.

"Both shows celebrate the indomitable human spirit and have received multiple awards as part of this year’s Maine High School One Act Play Festival," Mullen said.

Admission for both plays is $5. No reservation necessary. Doors will open at 7 p.m.
